We are now clearly established as the worldwide leader in the business of SiC grains and powders. Our industrial expertise relies on a century-old tradition inherited from the entities we have integrated, such as Norton, Carborundum, Casil, and Mountain Abrasives. In recent years, we have evidently streamlined and improved our processes to better serve our customers in established applications such as metallurgy, refractories, and abrasives. Moreover we have also successfully launched new products for emerging applications in the fi eld of electronics, photovoltaics, passive armor, and energy-effi cient or emissions-control technologies.
